About Plan Packages

Plan packages help organizations package standard plans for use on workspaces. Plan packages are normally created from the Organization work area and then shared with workspaces by exporting or importing. plan packages may also be created locally within a workspace if no other groups are appropriate.

After exporting or importing a plan package, a workspace receives a synchronized copy of the plan package, together with the standard plan and its related standard form documents. Members of that workspace team can then use the plan package to create plans. They can also modify the plan package without affecting the original version at the organization, but will lose their changes whenever the organization sends a synchronization update.

For example, the Design/Build plan package contains the following standard plans: "Preconstruction Plan," "Management Plan," and "Review Plan."

When you select Design Group during the creation of the plan, Proliance will create plans based on all three standard plans within the package.

You can assign a manager to a plan package who will be responsible for assembling and activating the standard plans within the group.
