Configuring Workspace Settings

Once you have created a new workspace, use the options under the Workspace and Project Info menu in the workspace work area to configure settings for the workspace:

Option Description
Calendars This register contains the calendars used for your workspace. For more information, see "About the Calendars Register".
Configuration This submenu allows you to configure features such as Custom Print Layouts, Security and Lookup Lists.
Cost  
Currency This register records the currencies used in the workspace. For more information, see "About the Currencies Register".
Currency Gain or Loss Report This register contains summaries of a workspace currency gains or losses. For more information, see "Workspace Currency Gain or Loss Report".
General Taxes (Tax List) This register contains the Tax List, which shows all the committed and non-committed taxes for the workspace. For more information, see "Workspace Tax List - Main".
Tax Rules This register records the tax rules created for the workspace. For more information, see "About the Tax Rule Register".
Workspace Cost Settings This register contains a document showing the configuration of the cost account advanced codes for the workspace. For more information, see "Configuring Cost Account Advanced Codes".
Holds This register contains holds created to block the processing of specified documents. For more information, see "About the Holds Register".
Limits of Authority This service sets out which roles can authorize your workspace's cost-related documents and limits the amount they can authorize. For more information, see "About Limits of Authority".
Scheduling This submenu allows you to configure the activity code groups available in your schedules. For more information, see "About Activity Codes".
Workspace Properties This document contains essential and important details about the current workspace. For more information, see "About Workspace Properties".

ClosedTo configure workspace settings

  1. Open the Workspaces work area for the workspace you wish to configure.
  2. Under Administration, select the setting that you wish to configure.

Note:

  • Configuring any of the workspace settings is optional and can be done at any time. However, you should complete as much information as possible under the Administration menu when first setting up your workspace.
  • The Proliance Local Admin application also provides configuration capability that can affect an entire workspace.
