Tax List - Main
The Main page lists
all the committing and non-committing taxes for your workspace. The attributes
of each tax are listed in the following columns. The tax list
needs to be in edit mode before you can modify the fields.
Set Taxes
- Tax Type: Indicates whether it is a committing or non-committing tax. You can
have five committing taxes (1-5) and five non-committing taxes (6-10).
- Is Active: Select the check box if this is in active tax. Active taxes appear in
lists of taxes and are used in calculations or summary presentations.
- Tax Code: When a real tax is selected from the Real
Tax Code drop-down list, the code is automatically entered. Examples
of a tax code are "VAT" (Value Added Tax) and "GST"
(Goods and Services Tax). Type a new Tax Code, if necessary.
- Description: When a real tax is selected from the Real
Tax Code drop-down list, the description is automatically entered.
You can type a new description, if necessary.
- Default Rate: This value is initially provided by the Real Tax that the tax
is based on. This rate can be changed from the Main page, or when creating
a tax rule using this tax.
- Real Tax Code: Select from the drop-down list the code of the real
tax to be used to create this tax.
