Currency Gain or Loss Report

The Workspace Currency Gain or Loss Report summarizes the performance of each currency used in a workspace.

This report shows the following information for each currency:

• Currency Code: This code identifies the defined currency. Examples of currency codes include "USD@1.60" and "CAD".
• ISO Currency Code: This is the ISO alphabetic code for a real currency. ISO Currency Codes are associated with any number of custom currency codes.
• Is Workspace Currency: A check mark is displayed in this column if the defined currency is the workspace currency. The workspace currency is the common currency into which all other currencies are transformed for a common view of the costs in the workspace.
• Baseline Conversion Rate: The exchange rate for converting the defined currency to the workspace currency.
• Current Conversion Rate: The current exchange rate between a defined currency and the workspace currency. This exchange rate is used to predict gains or losses based on unspent conversion money remaining on the workspace.
• Total Native Currency Value: The total value of the currency in which users enter a line item value. That native currency is also known as the contract currency.
• Total Workspace Currency Value: The total value of the workspace currency.
• Total Realized Gain or Loss: The total value of the realized gain or loss in the workspace. For more information on how this is calculated, see "Cost Analysis: Realized Currency Gain/Loss".
• Total Forecast Gain or Loss: The total value of the forecasted gain or loss in the workspace. For more information on how this is calculated, see "Cost Analysis: Forecasted Currency Gain/Loss".
• Total Gain or Loss: The total gain or loss to the workspace caused by currency fluctuations. For more information on how this is calculated, see "Cost Analysis: Total Currency Gain/Loss".
