Assigning Permissions to a Role

When you assign permissions to a role, you are giving users with this security role specific access to documents and features.

While in edit mode, you can set the following security permissions, provided that you have access to the security permission settings.

To assign permissions to a role

  1. Open the Roles register.
  2. For information on the contents of each Roles register and which one to use, see "About the Roles Register".

  3. Select the role that you are assigning permissions to.
  4. A role can have unique security settings between the work areas.

  5. Click Edit.
  6. Expand the Permissions section.
  7. Next to each document type, select the check boxes of the permissions that you wish to assign.
  8. Click Save.
