Creating a Deficiency

When you need to keep track of information on non-compliant work or defects in your workspace, create a deficiency document to manage the process of resolving defect. Each document contains information about the deficiency, the actions needed to resolve the defect, who is responsible for the work, and when it needs to be done.

Your security role must have permission to create deficiencies. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

To create a new deficiency

  1. Open the Deficiency List register.
  2. Click New to create a new document using the default template.
  3. — or —

    Click the arrow next to New to select another template. For more information, see "About Document Subtypes".  

    A blank document appears. Some information may already be filled in, depending on the template used.

  4. Complete the following required information:
  5. If you are going to perform a workflow action, type the information required for this action. For more information, see "Deficiency Workflow Actions" for a list of preconditions for a specific action.
  6. Complete any other necessary information for the document. Headings marked with an asterisk (*) or highlighted fields are required. For more information, see "About Required Fields".

  9. Proliance saves the document. Click Exit edit mode when done.
