About Security Permissions

Security roles contains a set of permissions that specify the access each user has to Proliance functionality.

If there's a discrepancy between your company and security role, Proliance uses the more "permissive" permissions from both roles. For example, if the company role does not permit you to update contracts, while the security role permits you to, then you will be able to update contracts.

Note: If a security role has no permissions defined for it, then Proliance uses the permissions contained in the company role of the company that employs the user. If neither the security role nor the company role contains permissions, then a user is not able to do anything in Proliance.

Security permissions are assigned in the Permissions section of a role. For information about the permission settings, see "Assigning Permissions to a Role".
