Edit an account if you need to change the password, assign the account to a different security role, or modify any other account information. To edit an account, your security role must have permission to update accounts. To edit information in the Edit User Account Dialog Box, you may also need permission to create or delete accounts. For more information on permissions, see "About Security Permissions".
Be aware that the scope of your edits will vary, depending on how you open the account to edit:
From the Organization work area
From the Organization work area you can edit any account information except for the account's User Name or Organization Name, which must be set when first creating the account. These changes can then be synchronized to the Workspaces work area.
Note: Any changes you make to an account's security settings in the Organization work area do not affect account security in any portfolios or workspaces.
From the Portfolios work area
From the Portfolios work area, you can only set an account's portfolio access, workspace data access, and portfolio security. All other changes to account information must be made in the Organization work area.
From the Workspaces work area
From the Workspaces work area, you can only set an account's
workspace access and workspace
security. All other changes to account information must be made in the
Organization work area.
