Starting the Review Process

When you are satisfied that everything is in order, you can start the review process. This routes the package or document according to the review steps defined for it.

The following occurs once a review process begins:

  1. Open the package or document register.
  2. Select the package or document to be reviewed.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. The page enters edit mode.

  5. Click the Main page.
  6. Next to the Managing Contact field, click the Magnifying Glass icon The magnifying glass icon. to select the person responsible for managing the package or document.
  7. In order to start the review, the contact must have a valid account.

  8. Click the Start Review workflow command.
  9. — or —

    Click Workflow > Start Review.

    The Execute Workflow dialog box appears.

  10. Complete the workflow action.

    Proliance updates the state to In Review and notifies you that the state change was successful. The first user in the review process should now receive a notice telling him or her that there is a document awaiting review.

Note:

  • Only users with a security role that has permissions to update the package or document can start the review process. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".
  • A package must contain at least one document, one reviewer, and a managing contact before you can start the review.
  • A document must contain at least one reviewer and a managing contact before you can start the review.
