Creating a Contract from a Quote

You can create a revenue contract from a quote to indicate the quote has been committed. You can only create a revenue pre-commit contract from a quote.

Before you can create a contract, ensure that:

To create a pre-commit contract from a quote

  1. Open the Quotes register.
  2. Select the quote to open
  3. Click Options > Apply to New Document.
  4. The Apply to New Document dialog appears.

  5. Select Revenue Contract from the drop-down list.
  6. Select a template to create the contract from, then click OK.
  7. A blank contract appears. Some information may already be filled in, depending on the template used.

  8. In the Title field, type the title of the contract.
  9. If you are performing a workflow action on the contract, complete the information required for this action. For more information, see "Contract Workflow Actions" for a list of preconditions for a specific action.
  10. Complete any additional required information. Headings marked with an asterisk (*) or highlighted fields are required. For more information, see "About Required Fields".
  11. Please refer to the following for more information on the fields for each page:

  12. Click Save when done.
  13. Proliance saves the new contract.

Note:

  • On the newly created contract, the availability of the BCM-related fields depends on the BCM integration setting of the workspace or contract template. For more information, see "Enabling/Disabling BCM Integration".
  • Proliance automatically changes the quote state to Closed once you create a contract from it.
