Template portfolios are created from the Organization work area. When creating a template portfolio, you must select a Portfolio Reference, which determines the default information that will populate your new template portfolio.
The following information is carried over from the referenced portfolio to the new template portfolio:

All configuration information, which includes security, lookups, and
custom print layouts, is always carried over from the referenced portfolio.

Reference data includes all document and service information in a portfolio or workspace. When creating a template portfolio, you can select to copy over the following:
On the Main page, select the Copy Reference Data (Portfolio) check box.
On the Main page, select the Copy Reference Data (Workspace) check box.
On the Main page, select both check boxes.
On the Main page, select neither check box.
A copy of any custom nomenclature applied to the Portfolio
Reference is automatically applied to the new template portfolio.
If no custom nomenclature was applied, the new template portfolio uses the default
nomenclature included with Proliance.To create a new template portfolio, your Organization work areasecurity rolemust have permission to create portfolio properties. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".
To
create a new template portfolio

Click the arrow next to New to select the template to use. For more information, see "About Document Templates".
A blank portfolio appears. Some information may already be filled in, depending on the template used.
Choose the Type of Portfolio you wish to create.
Type the portfolio's full name. This is usually the official or legal
name of the workspace. The name must be unique within the organization.
The portfolio name is required.
Type the account name of the portfolio. This name is used by integration
accounts to access specific portfolios in Proliance. The account name cannot
have any special characters and any spaces you enter will be automatically
truncated.
Click the Magnifying Glass drop-down list.
Select the check box to copy all document and service data from the
Portfolio Reference to the new
template portfolio. If you leave this blank, the new template portfolio will
contain no data.
Select the check box to copy all document and service data from each
of the workspaces in the Portfolio Reference.
If you leave this blank, Proliance will copy the workspaces with no data.
Select from the drop-down list the time zone where the portfolio's workspaces
are located. The portfolio time zone is required.
elect Yes to indicate that
the area in which the portfolio's workspaces are located uses Daylight Savings
Time. Otherwise, select No. A
daylight savings time selection is required.
Select the check box to indicate that the portfolio is a template portfolio.

The template portfolio is saved in a Draft state. You can continue to modify the portfolio properties document in the Organization work area while it is in a Draft state.
After activating the template portfolio, Proliance automatically creates copies of the Portfolio Reference's workspaces in their pre-existing state. Proliance then displays an Action Complete page containing three options: "Return to Document", "Return to Register", and "Add User to Portfolio".
Proliance displays the Export to Portfolios wizard. Ensure that before adding (or exporting) yourself to this template portfolio, you have a user account. This ensures that you can log on to this portfolio from the Portfolios work area. For more information, see "Creating a User Account".
You can now view and access the template portfolio from the Portfolios work area.
Important: Before users can see this template portfolio in the Portfolios work area, you need to add them to this portfolio. This can be achieved by adding users from either the Staff or Contacts register.
