Creating a Defined Currency

All defined currencies are based on a real currency. You can create any number of defined currencies in Proliance for use in workspaces. However, only one defined currency can be used as the workspace's currency at any given time. If there is only one defined currency, Proliance will automatically make this the workspace's currency. To define a new currency, your security role must have permission to create currencies. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

When defining a new currency, you can specify the number of decimal places of precision. The precision you specify for the defined currency applies to all documents using that currency with the exception of Contracts, Change Orders and Invoices, which use a separate contract currency precision. Proliance will adjust all values internally to prevent rounding errors, regardless of the precision used.
