Quote - Settings

You can enter up to five markup codes to be added to the quote's subtotal.

• Markup Percentage: Enter the percentage of the markup.
• Markup Description: Type a brief description of this markup.
• Markup Amount:

  Proliance calculates this value using the following formula for each subtotal:

  Quote Subtotal * Markup Percentage

• Markup Rule Type:

  Select the rule that determines how the given Markup Percentage applies to the quote. There are two options:

  • Apply All Markup: Applies the markup percentage to sum of the quote subtotal and all the previous markup amounts. For example, for Markup 2, Proliance applies the markup as follows:

  (Quote Subtotal + Markup 1 Amount) * Markup 2 Percentage

  For Markup 3, Proliance applies the markup as follows:

  (Quote Subtotal + Markup 1 Amount + Markup 2 Amount) * Markup 3 Percentage

  • Apply This Markup: Applies the markup percentage to only the quote's subtotal. For example, for Markup 2, Proliance applies the markup as follows:

  Quote Subtotal * Markup 2 Percentage

  Note: The Quote Subtotal can be found on the Line Items and Financial Summary pages of the quote.

• Auto Calculate Grand Total:

  Determines whether the Grand Total in the Financial Summary page is calculated from the values on the Line Items page.

  Select Yes to have Proliance calculate the quote's Grand Total by adding the markups to the Quote Subtotal.

  Select No if you want to manually enter the Grand Total on the Financial Summary page. You cannot edit or enter new line items. Any previously created line item does not affect the quote's Grand Total.

• Currency: Click the Magnifying Glass icon to select the currency used in this quote. If the quote was not created from any other document, the workspace currency is used as the default currency. If the quote was created from another document, the initiating document's currency is used. For example, if the quote was created from a contract, Proliance uses the contract currency. You can change the quote's currency if necessary.
  
  Note: For quotes created from contracts, the defined currency's currency precision is used instead of the contract currency precision.
