Quote - Line Items

The Line Items page contains the details of the items proposed in this quote. A quote's line item can be a combination of labor, equipment, material, subcontract and other items.

The columns for each line item are described below. The quote needs to be in edit mode before you can modify the fields.

• Description: Type a brief description of the line item.
• Equipment Unit Price: Enter the cost of equipment per unit.
• Fuel Oil Parts:Enter the tax percentage added to the equipment costs. For example, to add 3.2%, type "3.2".
• Labor Unit Price: The cost of labor per unit.
• Labor Burden: Enter the tax levied on the cost of labor.
• Line Number: A string of characters that uniquely identify this line item among your document's line items.
• Line Item Total: The total cost of this line item. Proliance calculates this value by adding the Total Burden, Total Equipment, Total Labor, Total Material, Total Subcontract, and Total Other costs. You cannot change this value.
• Material Unit Price: Enter the cost of material per unit.
• Material Tax Percentage 1: Enter the first tax on the cost of material. For example, to specify a 7% tax, enter "7"; to specify a 7.5% tax, enter "7.5".
• Material Tax Percentage 2: Optionally enter the second tax on the cost of material, if required.
• Measurement Unit: Type the unit used to measure this item. Examples of units of measurement include "cubic meters" or "linear feet."
• Other Unit Price: Enter other quote item costs here.
• Quantity: Enter the quantity of the item. This value is used to calculate the total cost of this item.
• Subcontract Unit Price: The cost per unit of the subcontract.
• Subcontract Bond Percentage: Enter the amount of tax on the bonding cost of the subcontract. For example, to enter 5%, type "5".
• Total Burden:

  The total labor burden. Labor burden consists of indirect labor costs, such as benefits and taxes. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  Quote Item Quantity * Quote Item Labor Cost Per Unit * ( Labor Burden Percentage)

• Total Equipment:

  The total cost of equipment. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  (Equipment Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity) + (Equipment Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity * (Fuel Oil Parts Percentage))

• Total Labor:

  The total calculated cost of labor. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  Labor Unit Price * Quantity.

• Total Material:

  The total cost of material. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  (Quote Item Material Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity) + (Quote Item Material Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity * (Material Tax1)) + (Quote Item Material Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity * (Material Tax Percentage 2))

• Total Other:

  The total cost of the other items entered in this line item. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  (Other Unit Price * Quantity)

• Total Subcontract:

  The total cost of subcontract. Proliance calculates this value using the following formula. You cannot change this value.

  (Quote Item Subcontract Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity) + (Quote Item Subcontract Cost Per Unit * Quote Item Quantity * (Subcontract bonding Percentage))
