Editing Contact Information
Provided your security
role has permission to update contacts in the appropriate work area,
you can edit the information for contacts from any type of company. For
more information, see "About
Security Permissions".
Be aware that the scope of your edits will vary, depending
on how you open the contact to edit:
From
the Organization work area
From the Organization work area, you can edit contact information
for any external company. These changes can then be synchronized to the
corresponding Contact documents
in the other work areas.
From
the PortfolioWork Area
From the Portfolios work area, all contact information is
synchronized from the Organization work area and cannot be edited.
However, certain account information can be modified from
the contact's Account page. For
more information, see "Editing
Accounts".
From
the WorkspaceWork Area
From the Workspaces work area, you can only edit contact
fields containing workspace specific information. All other fields can only
be modified from the corresponding contact or staff document in the Organization
work area
You can also add, modify and delete links to Projects in the WorkspaceWork Area. For more information, see About Contacts and Projects.
The following is a list of all contact fields you can edit
in your workspaces:
- Workspace

Note: Do not confuse the workspace role with the user's security
role.
