Deleting a Contact

A contact can be deleted from the Portfolio and Organization work areas. You can only, however, deactivate a contact from the Workspaces work area. For more information, see "Deactivating a Contact".

To delete a contact, your security role in the appropriate work area must have permission to delete contacts. For more information on security permissions, see "About Security Permissions".

The guidelines for deleting contacts differ for each work area:

ClosedFrom the Organizationwork area

Deleting a contact from the Organization work area removes it permanently from Proliance.

Proliance will not allow you to delete a contact from the Organization work area if it currently exists in any other work area. If you attempt to delete a contact in this situation, Proliance will notify you with a list of work areas in which the contact currently exists. Before you can delete the contact in the Organization work area, you must delete it from each of these workspaces and portfolios.

You can delete a contact from any of three places:

ClosedTo delete a contact
