Deactivating a Contact

Contacts can only be deleted from the Organization and Portfolios work area. If you do not want a contact to be referenced to or to have access to your workspace, you can first remove the contact's account from the Workspaces work area and then deactivate the contact. After the contact is deactivated, you can use your personal or shared views to filter out these deactivated contacts. For information on how to use filters, see "About Register Views"

To deactivate a contact

  1. Open the Contacts register.
  2. A list of contacts is listed.

  3. Select the contact to deactivate.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Select the Account page.
  6. Choose Details > Account Options.
  7. The Account Options dialog box appears.

  8. Clear the "Workspace Access" check box.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Save.
