Deleting a Calendar

You can delete calendars that are no longer used or relevant to your workspace or organization. A calendar can be deleted while in any state, but not if it is serving as a base calendar for any other calendar. Your security role must have permission to delete calendars. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

Note: When you delete an organization calendar that is being used in a workspace, that calendar within the workspace can no longer be updated. If you need to later modify the calendar, you must create a copy of the calendar. For more information, see "Copying a Calendar".

You can delete a calendar from either of the following places:

To delete a calendar

  1. Open the Calendars register from the appropriate work area.
  2. Select the check box next to the calendar to delete, then click Delete.
  3. —or—

Select the calendar to delete, then click Delete The delete button..

  4. Proliance prompts you to confirm the deletion.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.
  6. Proliance removes the calendar.

Tips:

  • Instead of deleting a calendar, consider settings its state to Obsolete instead. This way, the calendar and all its exclusion information are preserved in the system should you wish to reactivate the calendar or use it as a base calendar.
  • To delete a base calendar, you need to first locate the calendar that is referencing the base and then select another base calendar, or set it to use no base calendar. When this is done, you can delete the base calendar. For more information, see the Details section in "Calendars - Main".
