Adding Existing Documents to a Package

You can add existing drawing or submittal documents to any package in the Draft or Submitted workflow state.

You can add existing documents that are in any state as long as they are not currently part of another package. If you add a Draft document to a Submitted package, that document will automatically move to the In Review state as soon as the package is sent out for review.

ClosedTo add existing documents to a package

  1. Open the Drawing or Submittal Packages register.
  2. Select a package.
  3. Click the Drawings or Submittals page.
  4. Any documents currently in the package are shown, otherwise the page is empty.

  5. Click Edit.
  6. Click Add Existing.
  7. The Drawings or Submittals dialog box appears.

  8. In the dialog box, select the document(s) to add in the package.
  9. If the document you wish to select has not been created in Proliance, click New. Complete the required fields in the new document and click Save. You can now refresh the dialog box to select this document.

Proliance adds the document(s) to the package.

  10. Click Save.

Note:

  • Make sure that there are no empty rows in the grid before you attempt to save the package. This can happen if you click Add Existing but do not select an item. For more information on removing empty rows, see "Removing Documents from a Package".
