About Drawing/Submittal Packages

A drawing or submittal package represents a collection of drawings or submittals that will be sent to a series of reviewers for feedback. The managing contact then reviews this feedback and makes a final determination on each item in the package when he or she completes the package.

• Open a Drawing or Submittal register for the package.

Note: The managing contact is the user responsible for the package throughout its life cycle. You indicate the managing contact in the Parties section on the Main page of the package.

Reviewers require read permission for Drawing or Submittal packages as well as each item in the package. In addition, when the package is submitted, reviewers and their companies become Receiving Participants for all documents in the package, making them available to work with.

You manage each type of package through their respective registers.

Information about a package is organized across the following pages:

• Main: Contains all the commonly used information about a package. For more information see "Drawing/Submittal Packages - Main".
• Drawing/Submittal: Lists the items in the package that will be reviewed. For more information see "About the Drawings/Submittals Page".
• Review Steps: Lists the people who will review the package and provide feedback. For more information, see "About the Review Steps Page".
• Reviewer Feedback: Displays the recommendations from reviewers that have been entered. For more information, see "About the Reviewer Feedback Page".
• Properties: Contains information about the package document itself, such as who created the package, and the workspace in which the package was created. For more information, see "Document Properties".

• Project: Lists the projects the document is linked to. For more information, see "About the Projects Tab"

• References: Displays the revisions of the package. For more information, see "About the Reference Tab".
• Workflow: Enables you to see where the document is in its life cycle, who has already performed actions on the document, and who will receive notification when the document changes to a specific state. For more information, see "Workflow Tab".
• Activity Log: Records all the activities of the document, such as when it was saved, imported, exported, forwarded, or received. For more information, see "Activity Log Tab".
• Attachments: Contains a list of all the documents related to this drawing or submittal package. For more information, see "Attachments Tab".
