Reviewing a Notice

When someone invites you to collaborate on a document, Proliance sends you a notice containing details of the request. This notice will appear in your My Notices register. Depending on your security role, you may also be able to see the notice in your Workspace Notices, or Company Notices register.

Automatically generated request notices

In addition to collaboration requests, you may also receive notices if another workspace or an external accounting system tries to export a document into your workspace. The notice might ask you to accept the document into your workspace. Or, the notice might ask you to resolve a conflict or omission that is preventing the document from being accepted into Proliance.

To review a notice

  1. Choose Notices > My Notices.
  2. The Notices register appears.

  3. Click Received.
  4. The register displays your current notices.

Note that the color-coded icons in the Doc ID column help you to quickly identify the type of each notice. For more information, see "About Notices".

  5. Select the notice for the document that you wish to receive.
  6. The document opens in a new window. The "sticky note" at the right of the document shows the recommended or required action, plus any custom message the sender may have entered.

  7. Complete the requested action.
  8. Depending on the action you are performing, Proliance may require you to send the document to someone else.

Note:

  • If the notice was sent to several people, only one person needs to respond to the requested action. After the action is performed, the "sticky note" will no longer show when others open the document. Proliance indicates notices that are no longer valid by displaying a '\' symbol through the notice's icon in the register.
  • If you have the appropriate security, you may be able to perform an action other than the requested action. You may also choose to forward the document instead of performing the action.
