About the Revisions Tab

Each form, standard form, and plan document contains a Revisions tab that lists the revisions for that document. Each revision is distinct from the other. The Name is the common attribute that links all the revisions together. The Name is found on the Main page of a form or plan.

Proliance can track any number of revisions of a document series. The System Revision Number is the internal counter that starts from 0 and increments by 1 for each revision. The Revision Number (available for forms and template forms) will be the same as the system revision by default, but can be customized according to your numbering needs.

The following table summarizes the actions available on the Revisions tab. These actions are determined by your security role.

From the Revisions tab, you can... Click

Create a new revision of the current form.

This option is only available for forms. New revisions for plans are created only when moving to the next stage.

Delete the selected revision from the current form.

This option is only available for forms. Revisions for plans cannot be deleted.

To open the Revisions tab

  1. Open the Plan, Standard Plan, Form, or Standard Form register.
  2. Select a document.
  3. Click the References tab.
  4. The list of related tabs appears.

  5. Click the Revisions tab.
