Searching Proliance

You can quickly locate items in a tab, register, picklist or dialog box by using the Find feature. Type the text that you're looking for in the text box at the top right of a Proliance page, and then click Find. Proliance searches every column for the text and then displays only the rows that contain the matching text.

Note:

You can press Alt + 4 to immediately place your cursor in the Find text box.

To use the Find feature most effectively, keep in mind the following:

Proliance automatically searches for your text as a part of any other term. For example, doing a search for either John, Smith, or the letters Smi will find John Smith.
Use the wildcard character '%' to broaden your search. This wildcard can represent any number of characters, and is most useful if used in between other characters.
The Find feature is not restricted to just names. Proliance will attempt to match the search text to any of the columns visible.
To search only a specific column, create and apply a new register view that contains only the column that you want to search.

Tips:

The Find feature only shows what is visible in the current register view. If you do not find what you're seeking, switch to a broader view and then try again.
To reset the Find feature to display all items for the view, click Reset.
If you are viewing the results of a Find rather than the full register, the Reset button is activated.
