About the Portfolio Properties Register
Depending on the permissions of your security role, you
can open the Portfolio Properties register using either of the work areas described below, but keep in mind
that the portfolios displayed differ depending on the work area used:
From
the Organization work area
The Portfolio Properties register in the Organization work area lists all the portfolios created
by your organization.
From this register, you can create, delete, and enter portfolios,
or you can open an existing portfolio document to view portfolio properties.
If the portfolio is still in the Draft workflow state, you can also modify portfolio properties.
From
the Portfolios work area
The Portfolio Properties register in the Portfolios work area contains the PortfolioProperties document of the current portfolio.
From this register, you can open the current portfolio document
to view or edit portfolio properties.
Each of the columns displayed in this register shows information
taken from any of the portfolio properties pages. The columns displayed
depend on the current view,
however, when opened from the Organization work area the following columns
always appear in the register:
- Portfolio Work Area:
For each portfolio you can access, this column contains a navigational
Enter Portfolio link to the Portfolios
work area. For those portfolios you cannot access, No
Access is displayed. For more information on portfolio access, see
"Setting
Work Area Access".
This column always displays at the far left of the register.
- Number:
A string of characters that uniquely identifies the portfolio. In the
Organization work area, click the value in this column to access the Portfolio Properties document.
This column always displays to the right of the Portfolio Work Area column.
- Portfolio Name
A string of characters that uniquely identifies the name of the portfolio.
This column always displays to the right of the Portfolio Work Area column.
- Type
: This describes the type of activity that the Portfolio supports.
This column always displays to the right of the Portfolio Work Area column.
