About Bid Invitations

When a package is set to Issued, a Bid Invitation document is created for each bidder in the package's Bidders List. The Bid Invitation document contains all the required information to respond to the bid request with a proposal. Bidders must acknowledge their invitation to start entering their information in a proposal.

Only certain fields on the Bid Invitation document can be updated by bidders: Title, Number, Brief Description, Full Description and Notes. All other fields are read-only for bidders.

Tips

  • You can navigate directly to each bidder's Bid Invitation document from the Bidders List page in the parent package.
  • Bidders can decline their invitation after they have accepted it. In this case, their related proposal, if already submitted, will be automatically withdrawn and set to Pending.

A Bid Invitation document's information is grouped under the following pages:

Note:

  • A Proliance document also contains information about itself, such as who created the document, and which workspace the document was created in. For more information, see "Common Document Information".
