A new invoice for an auto-commit contract contains no line items. You can add line items that are related to the current invoice, but not to the entire contract. Invoices for auto-commit contracts continually re-define the value of the contract as you create them.
Auto-commit invoices have the same line item columns as pre-commit invoices. However, Proliance hides many of the line item columns on auto-commit invoices because they are not applicable. Proliance continues to calculate the values in these columns in case you convert the auto-commit contract to a pre-commit contract in the future.
Hidden columns on auto-commit invoices
Auto-commit invoices have some additional columns that pre-commit invoices do not have. These extra columns appear because they are not defined on the base contract, as they are for pre-commit invoice line items. The invoice needs to be in edit mode before you can modify the fields.
