Including Portfolio and Workspace Properties in Your Layout
Any schemas associated with documents that are available
in the Workspaces or Portfolios work areas will contain Portfolio
Document and Workspace Document
XML elements in addition to the elements appropriate to the schema's document
type. This enables you to print information about the Portfolio or Workspace
from which a document originates (for example, workspace name, address,
etc.), and is particularly useful for Portfolios work area Workspace Reporting.
When printing a report using a layout containing Portfolio
or Workspace XML elements, the elements may not appear properly in the following
situations:
- If the user printing
the report does not have permission to read Workspace or Portfolio documents,
the phrase "Insufficient Permission" will replace the Portfolio
or Workspace elements.
- If the report is
printed from the Organization work area, any Workspace or Portfolio elements
are inapplicable and will not appear.
- If the report is
printed on a standalone workspace, any Portfolio elements are inapplicable
and will not appear.
- Schema tags in the
header/footer sections of Word are currently not processed by Proliance;
only the body section is processed.
When printing a report containing Portfolio or Workspace XML
elements, the phrase "Insufficient Permission" will replace
the Portfolio or Workspace elements in the following situations:
- The user printing
the report does not have permission to read Workspace or Portfolio documents.
- The report is printed
from the Organization work area. For example, although you can create
a Catalog Card custom print layout containing Workspace XML elements, those
elements will have no applicable data when printed for a catalog card
in the Organization work area.
