A layout file is an XML document that defines the text, fields and formatting to include in a printed report. When you attach this file to a custom print layout, it can be used by Proliance to print documents. What appears in the printed report depends on the fields included in the layout file; Proliance will replace each XML field element in the layout file with the field value from the document being printed. The following applications have built-in capabilities for conveniently creating and previewing XML layout files.
