Copying and Pasting Line Items

You can copy and paste rows within a list. This can help speed up data entry, if successive entries contain similar information.

Many lists in Proliance support copying and pasting. You can tell which do by the presence of the following buttons while in edit mode:

Some notes about the copy and paste functionality:

• You can copy and paste within the same list, or to another document (of the same kind) within the same workspace.

Using the Weather page in a daily work journal document as an example, you can duplicate a weather entry within the same Weather page, or you can paste it to a Weather page in a different daily work journal document.

• Once an entry is copied, you can paste it repeatedly.
• You cannot copy and paste between different pages in a document. But if you need to replicate some text (as opposed to entire rows) between pages, you can use the standard Clipboard functionality within Windows to do this. For more information on using the Clipboard, refer to the Windows online help.

To copy and paste rows

• To copy a row, select the check box at the beginning of the row, then click Copy.

Proliance confirms that it has copied the selected row(s).

• To paste an entry, click Paste. The new row is added to the end of the list.
