Daily Work Journal - Weather

The Weather page of the daily work journal document is used to record detailed weather information about the site. You can add any number of weather entries per document, but the typical number is between one and three entries.

You can enter or edit any of the following weather information. Some information may already be entered if the weather section was set to auto fill in the daily work journal set. You can change any auto filled information. All sections are optional.

• Time (From/To): Enter the time period for this weather entry, in the format hh:mm am/pm.
• Note: Type any other notes relating to the weather.
• Precipitation: Click the Magnifying Glass icon and select a precipitation type. Optionally enter the amount of precipitation in the Rainfall or Snowfall columns.
• Rainfall/Snowfall: If any precipitation was recorded, you can optionally enter the amount of precipitation in the Rainfall or Snowfall columns.
• Log Humidity: Select a humidity setting from the drop-down list.
• Wind Scale: Specify the wind conditions from the drop-down list, based on the following Beaufort Scale ratings:
  • Force 0 - Calm (default)
  • Force 1 - Light air
  • Force 2 - Light Breeze
  • Force 3 - Gentle Breeze
  • Force 4 - Moderate Breeze
  • Force 5 - Fresh Breeze
  • Force 6 - Strong Breeze
  • Force 7 - Near Gale
  • Force 8 - Gale
  • Force 9 - Severe Gale
  • Force 10 - Storm
  • Force 11 - Violent Storm
  • Force 12 - Hurricane

  You can type the Beaufort Scale number to jump directly to that entry. For example, pressing "3" will jump to "Force 3" on the scale.

• Temperature (Low/High): Enter the temperature range at the site.
• Sky Conditions: Click the Magnifying Glass icon and select the sky conditions at the time of the journal entry.
• Ground Conditions: Click the Magnifying Glass icon and select the ground conditions at the time of the journal entry.

The daily work journal document needs to be in edit mode before you can enter or modify any information.
