Catalog Card Creation Wizard

The Catalog Card Creation Wizard is used to create up to 500 catalog cards at a time for a given catalog card subtype. The catalog cards will appear in the Catalog Card register, under the appropriate folder. This wizard is available by clicking Tools in the catalog card register.

Using the Catalog Card Wizard you can upload multiple file attachments to a file queue using the batch uploader tool. You can automatically create a catalog card for each file attachment you select from the queue.   • If you are using projects, you can link the newly-created documents to the projects of your choice. The list of available projects may be limited by your current project associations.

Catalog Card Information You Can Modify In the Wizard

The Catalog Card Creation Wizard allows you to enter and modify information for each catalog card before they are created. This information includes several predefined fields, plus any additional fields that your company has manually defined as 'required' in the document subtype.

Tip:

  • To a different view of newly uploaded files, use the Views filter in the Catalog Card register.

Note:

  • You cannot use the Catalog Card Creation Wizard to upload files to existing catalog cards. The wizard will always create new catalog cards or revisions.
