Selecting Items in a Picklist

Proliance uses the following types of picklists to help you enter items from pre-set lists into the current document. The picklist dialog box displays when you click the picklist button magnifying glass icon. that appears to the right of some fields.

Note:

  • You can also enter list items directly by using Proliance's Auto Complete feature without going to the list dialog box.

There are two types of picklist dialog boxes:

Document Picklists

The document picklist displays a list of documents that you can link to. Document picklists make the following controls available:

  1. Filter the list of documents using the View and Search fields.
  2. — or —

    Click New ... to create a new document. After saving the new document, click Refresh to view the new document in the document picklist.

  3. Click Add next to the document you want to select.
  4. The document is moved to the list at the bottom. To cancel the selection of an entry, click Remove next to the item's name.

  5. Click OK.
  6. Proliance closes the dialog box and links the selected document to the current document.

Lookup Picklists

Lookup picklists appear as a hierarchical list of pre-set items. You can click top-level items to expand them and display their child items.

Note:

  • When a lookup picklist is first displayed, each item in the list will appear preceded with a plus symbol . Generally, the plus symbol represents the existence of child members below that item. You can click on the plus symbol to display any child members, if any.

The multiple item picklist displays the following controls:

  1. In the lookup picklist, click the item that you want to select.
  2. Click OK.
  3. Proliance adds the selected item to the document and then closes the dialog box.

  1. In the lookup picklist, click the items you want to add. Selected items are displayed in the list box below the selection list.
  2. Review the list of selected items. Remove any unwanted items by clicking Remove or Remove All.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Proliance adds the selected items to the document and then closes the dialog box.
