The Main page contains detailed information on the quote. This information is grouped under the following headings. Expand each heading to view the details.
This section displays summary information of the quote. This information can be edited under different headings or pages of the quote document.
The company paying for the work that is specified in the quote. The
name of the company can be modified under the Linked
Information section.
The currency used in this quote. You can change this currency under
the Cost Settings section of
the Settings page.
The current state of the quote.
The date when a quote is expected to be returned. You can modify this
date under the Dates section.
The calculated total cost of labor, material, equipment, and subcontract
in this quote. See the Financial
Summary page for more information.
The number of holds currently against the quote. If holds are present,
you can view them on the Holds
tab.
A string of characters that uniquely identifies the quote document within
the workspace. You can edit the number in the Details section.
The company performing the work that is detailed in the quote. The name
of the company can be modified under the Linked
Information section.
The number of days that are added to the contract in order to perform
the work described in the attached quote. You can edit this value under
the Details section.
The short title of the quote. You can edit this title under the Details section.
The Project section displays a simplified version of the information available on the Projects tab. Use this section to quickly view a list of projects currently linked to the document, and to create, read and delete project links in edit mode. Information displayed in the project section is also available on the Projects tab, and any changes you make in the Project section is synchronized with the Projects tab.

Using the Project section, you can set the current document's project linking status to:
Select to remove all project links for the current document. You can only remove project links if you have the appropriate role security permissions, and your contact document has a link to the same projects.
Select to display a box where you can enter a single project link for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to display a box where you can enter multiple project links for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to link the current document to all projects within the current workspace.
The current status of project linking is displayed in the section header so that you can quickly scan project status with all the sections on the Main page collapsed. The document must be in edit mode before you can update information in the Project section.
If the quote was canceled, type some additional information about why
it was canceled.
The current state of the quote.
Type a brief description of the quote.
If there are disputes on the quote, describe them here.
Type a string of characters that uniquely identifies this quote, or
leave it blank if Proliance is configured to supply one. You can configure
the format of this number by using Proliance
Local Admin. For details, refer to "Editing the Number Format"
in the Proliance Local Admin on-line help.
Enter the number of days that are added to the contract in order to
perform the work described in the attached quote.
Type a title for the quote. The Title
is required.
Click This section contains links to documents that are related
to this quote. To add a link, first enter edit mode and then click the Magnifying Glass icon
to select the linked information. If a document is already
linked to the quote, you can select the link to view it.

The company that will be spending money if the quote is accepted and committed to the workspace.
If the Awarding Company is the same as the workspace's Managing Company, you can create expense contracts or expense change order from the quote. If it is not the same, you can create revenue contracts or revenue change orders. For more information, see "Creating a Contract from a Quote".
A workspace's managing company is set in the Managing Company section of the Workspace Properties - Main page.

The contact person from the awarding company.
Proliance will add the name of the awarding contact to the appropriate recipient fields (To:, CC:, HCC:) in the Workflow tab during a pending state change, if this quote document subtype has been set up to use initiating participants. To learn how to use the participants feature, see "Configuring Document Workflow States" in the Proliance Local Admin on-line help.
The company that will be receiving money if the quote is accepted and
committed to the workspace.

The contact from the receiving company.
Proliance will add the name of the receiving contact to the appropriate recipient fields (To:, CC:, HCC:) in the Workflow tab during a pending state change, if this quote document subtype has been set up to use receiving participants. To learn how to use the participants feature, see "Configuring Document Workflow States" in the Proliance Local Admin on-line help.
Enter the date when the quote is canceled. Proliance automatically
inserts the current date when the quote changes to the Canceled
state.
Enter the date when a quote is closed. Proliance automatically inserts
the current date when the quote changes to the Closed
state.
If the quote is disputed, enter the date of dispute.
Enter the date when a quote is expected to be returned.
Enter the date when the quote is no longer valid.
Enter the date when the quote is issued. Proliance automatically inserts
the current date when the quote changes to the Issued
state.
Enter the date when a quote is received.
Enter the date when a document is returned. Proliance automatically
inserts the current date when the quote changes to the Returned
state.
Enter the date when the quote is reviewed. Proliance automatically enters
the current date when the quote changes to the Reviewed
state.
Enter the date when a revision is due.
Enter the date when a revision is sent. Proliance automatically inserts
the current date when the quote changes to the Revised
state.
