About Activities

Using Activity documents, you can update schedule planning objects like any other Proliance document. Once an Activity document is linked to a schedule planning object such as a task, you can view and modify task dates on the Main page of the Activity document. If configured, moving an Activity document through its defined workflow will automatically update the corresponding task with the appropriate percentage complete value. Updates to Activity documents appear immediately in the related Gantt chart.

An Activity document's information is organized on the following pages:

• Main: Contains a summary and details of a linked task, milestone or summary, including starting and end dates. For more information, see "Activities - Main."
• Properties: Contains information about the document, such as the author of the document and the date when it was created. For more information, see "Document Properties."

Additional activity information is also available on the following tabs:

• Projects: Lists the projects the document is linked to. For more information, see "About the Projects Tab"

• Workflow: Enables you to change the default action for the Activity document and to optionally choose who should receive a notice when the document's state changes. For more information, see "About the Workflow Tab".
• Activity Log: Displays all the activities of the Activity document, such as when it was saved, imported, exported, forwarded, or received. For more information, see "Activity Log Tab".
• Attachments: Contains a list of all the documents and files related to this activity. For more information, see "Attachments Tab".
