Single Sign On
By default, every Proliance user is set to log on to Proliance manually
by typing their account's Organization, User Name, and Password in the
Proliance Login page. However, Proliance also offers the following
ways of automatically logging on. While these methods provide similar
functionality, the chosen method will be dependent on the environment:
- Cookie
Enabled Login: This method uses web browser cookies to store the login
information of a user. For more information, see "Setting Cookie Enabled Login".
- Windows
Authenticated Login: This method uses Windows Authentication through
Internet Information Services (IIS) to confirm user identity by associating
a Proliance user account with a Windows domain account. For more information, see "Setting Windows Authenticated Login".
- Single-sign On Using SAML: This method provides single sign-on functionality to Proliance users through a federated authentication arrangement with an external identity provider (IdP) and SAML 2.0.
Federated authentication allows users to log in with their corporate portal and IdP, and then access Proliance without a Proliance-based login being required.
For more information about configuring Proliance for SAML, see the Proliance Administration Guide. For more information about configuring a user account for SAML single-sign on, see "Setting SAML Federated Authorization for a User".
