Setting and Removing the Baseline

When you are ready to set or remove the baseline, use the steps below. For more information, see "About Baselined Schedules".

Your security role must have permission to work with baselined tasks.  For more information, see "Permissions for Scheduling".

ClosedTo set or remove a baseline

  1. Open the Gantt.
  2. In the Gantt table, select the object for which you want to set or remove a baseline.
  3. Click the Row Specific Commands button Row Specific Commands button. and select Set/Remove Baseline.

    Right-click the object and select Set/Remove Baseline.

    The Set/Remove Baseline dialog box appears.

  4. Use the following options to set and remove a baseline.

    Use the Remove All Baselines control to remove baseline settings from all planning objects.

ClosedTo display a baseline bar

  1. Open the Gantt.
  2. Toggle the Show/Hide Baseline Schedule Bar button Show/Hide Baseline Schedule Bar button. to display the baseline bar on the top of the selected task. This button should be pressed down to show the baseline schedule.

Note:

  • If a task has no approved schedule, the baseline is set by current task schedule.
  • Do not use Undo to remove a baseline.
