Edit the Views Menu

The Views menu gives you speedy access to different views for a register. The register view with a check-mark beside its name is the one that currently applies to the register. From the Manage View Menu dialog box, you can control which register views Proliance displays to your user account on the Views menu. The changes you make to the Views menu do not apply to any other users and only affect the register in the current work area.

You can set which of the register's Personal or Proliance views appear in the Views menu provided your security role has permission to read the documents the register contains. To set which Shared views appear, your security role must also have permission to read shared views. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

To edit the Views menu

  1. Open the register for which you want to edit the Views menu.
  2. From the Views drop-down, select Manage Views, then click Apply.
  3. The Register Views dialog box appears.

  4. Click Edit Menu.
  5. The Views: Manage View Menu dialog box appears.

  6. From the list of views, select the view that you want to add or remove from the Views menu.
  7. In the Displayed column, select the check box to add the view, or clear the check box to remove it.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Proliance applies your changes to the Views menu and returns you to the Register Views dialog box.

Note:

  • Specifying that a view should appear on the Views menu is not the same as applying a view to the register. For more information on selecting and applying a view to the register, see "Selecting a Register View".
  • If you edit a shared or personal register view, if it is currently displayed on the Views menu it will automatically be removed. In this situation, simply re-add the view to the menu as described in this topic.
