The following table summarizes the actions that you can take on a staff document. The current document state and the permissions in your security role determine which actions are available to you at any given moment.
While in Edit Mode, Proliance displays at the top of the page the workflow action recommended by the sender of the document. You can use the "Workflow" button to change or select an action if none was recommended. For more information, see "Performing a Workflow Action".

Deactivating vs. Deleting a Staff Member
You should deactivate a staff member if that person temporarily or permanently ceases to work for your company. Deactivating staff retains their information in Proliance, yet prevents them from being selected from lists. A deactivated staff member can be reactivated at any time.
You should delete a staff member if you do not wish to retain information about the person, or if the person was added to Proliance in error.
