Creating Folders

You can create a new folder in the Catalog Card register and set a default subtype to it. If you assign a default subtype to this folder, the catalog cards created within this folder will inherit the folder's default subtype. If you do not set a default subtype to the folder, the catalog cards created within this folder will inherit the system default subtypes set in local admin. Options for creating and managing folders depend on your assigned security settings. on folder hierarchy mode instead of My Documents mode.

To create a catalog card folder

1. Open the Catalog Card register.
2. In the Catalog Card register, click New > New Folder.
3. In the New Folder dialog, in the Folder Name field, enter the folder name.
4. In the Folder Default Subtype drop down menu, select a default catalog card subtype for the folder. This is the catalog card subtype that is created by default when using the New button or the Upload button for bulk file uploads.
5. Click Create.
