A package's Main page identifies the main company contact for the bidding process (the bid coordinator) and after the bidding process is complete, the awarded proposal. The Main page also contains internal reference information for the package.
The bid coordinator contact information is the only information from the package Main page made available to bidders on their invitation. All other information is for internal use only.
The following fields summarize the content of the package. The package document must be in edit mode before you can make any changes.
The Summary section groups pertinent information from the other sections on the page. All information shown here is for display only.
Indicates the current state
of the package.
Displays the title of the package. You
can change the title in the Details
section.
A string of characters that uniquely identifies the package within
the workspace. You can edit the number in the Details
section.
Indicates the last possible date and time to submit a proposal.
You can change this date on the Bidder Instructions page.
Indicates the number of bidders who have received an invitation, and how many have accepted.
Indicates the last package addendum that was created for the current package. You can click the hyperlink to view the addendum's details.
The Project section displays a simplified version of the information available on the Projects tab. Use this section to quickly view a list of projects currently linked to the document, and to create, read and delete project links in edit mode. Information displayed in the project section is also available on the Projects tab, and any changes you make in the Project section are synchronized with the Projects tab.
Any changes made to project links are automatically applied to child bidding documents, such as invitations and proposals.

Using the Project section, you can set the current document's project linking status to:
Select to remove all project links for the current document. You can only remove project links if you have the appropriate role security permissions, and your contact document has a link to the same projects.
Select to display a box where you can enter a single project link for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to display a box where you can enter multiple project links for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to link the current document to all projects within the current workspace.
The current status of project linking is displayed in the section header so that you can quickly scan project status with all the sections on the Main page collapsed.
Type a
title for the package.
Type a string of characters that uniquely identifies this package,
or leave it blank if Proliance is configured to supply one. The package number appears as part of the reference number for all related documents.

When the bidding process is over and the proposals have been submitted, enter the proposal that has been selected as the winning proposal. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Enter the contact person who is responsible for bidding in your company.
You can choose the contact in the Contact field and the associated company for the contact will be automatically entered in the Company field. Alternatively, you can select a company and then choose from a list of contacts for that company in the Contact field. The bid manager is the initiating participant for the current package.
Enter the person who will serve as the primary internal contact for the bidding process.
You can choose the contact in the Contact field and the associated company for the contact will be automatically entered in the Company field. Alternatively, you can select a company and then choose from a list of contacts for that company in the Contact field. If you change the bid coordinator after initially saving the package document, the updated bid coordinator will be automatically updated on all related documents. The bid coordinator is the receiving participant for the current package document.
If this document was created in a workspace, this is the construction
initiative to which the workspace belongs. If this document was not created
in a workspace, you can optionally select a construction initiative name.
The name for the specific portion of the workspace with which the document
is associated. For example, the "Civic Center" workspace consists
of five large buildings. Each building is a sub project.
Use these five fields to enter classification information for this document. If
you use assign a standard classification to your documents, you can use
it to search or organize your documents according to these classifications.
Select the user-defined values that define this document. These values
are defined using Proliance
Local Admin.
If this document was created in a workspace, this is the construction
initiative to which the workspace belongs. If this document was not created
in a workspace, you can optionally select a construction initiative name.
