Editing a Drawing or Submittal

You can edit any revision of a drawing or submittal, providing that your security role permits the editing of the appropriate document type. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

The following are some examples of when you may need to edit or update a revision:

  1. Open the appropriate register for the document.
  2. Select the revision you wish to edit and then click Edit.
  3. Make the necessary edits. Please refer to the following for more information on the fields for each page:

  4. The required fields are marked with asterisks and may also be highlighted. For more information, see "About Required Fields".

  5. If the current document is not the latest version and you want to set it as such, choose Options > Set to Latest Revision. Save the document when prompted. On the References tab, the Latest Revision column shows the document as the latest revision.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Proliance saves the changes. Click Exit edit mode when you are finished editing.

Note:

  • If you remove a file attachment (either the source or presentation version) from the document, Proliance removes that file. If you still need it in the workspace, you must reattach it to a revision.
  • Similarly, if you replace a file attachment with another file, Proliance deletes the file that was replaced.
