Adding Documents to a Package

You can add drawings or submittals to any drawing or submittal package in the Draft or Submitted workflow state. You can add items using one of the following methods:

• Add new documents: The documents to be added do not yet exist in Proliance. This procedure adds the documents into Proliance and links them to the package. For more information, see "Adding New Documents to a Package".
• Add documents from a set: The documents to be added are in a set. Selecting the set automatically adds all the Draft or Submitted items within the set that are not currently part of another package.
• Add existing: The documents exist in Proliance and are not part of another package. You can add existing drawings or submittals in any state providing they are not part of another package. If you add a Draft document to a Submitted package, that document will automatically enter the In Review state as soon as the package is sent out for review. When the package changes from Draft to Submitted or In Review state, all the documents in that package will also change to the Submitted or In Review state. If you have customized states, Proliance will change your drawings to the states with the corresponding Submitted state or In Review state type and state internal name. If this state is not available, Proliance will change their state to the standard Submitted or In Review state. For more information, see "About State Types" in the Proliance Local Admin on-line Help.
