Deleting a Security Category

If you have access to the security permission settings, you can remove security categories that are no longer required.

You can delete a security category from either of the following places:

Note: Depending on your current location, deleting a security category may or may not remove it from other areas of Proliance.

To delete a security category

  1. Open the Categories register from the appropriate work area.
  2. For information on the contents of each Categories register and which one to use, see "About the Categories Register".

  3. Select the check box next to the category to delete and then click Delete.
  4. — or —

    Open the category to delete and click Delete The delete button.

  5. Click Yes when prompted to confirm.
  6. Proliance deletes the category from the current area of Proliance. If there were accounts still assigned to the category in the current work area, these accounts are reassigned to the @ANONYMOUS category. The deletion takes effect immediately. If a user assigned to the category is currently logged on, the deletion will take effect the next time the user's screen is refreshed.
