About the Company Roles Register

The Company Roles register lists all of the company roles created for companies in your organization.

The company roles displayed may differ depending on your current work area:

ClosedFrom the Organization work area

The Company Roles register in the Organization work area contains a company role for every one your companies. These company roles may or may not be involved in your workspaces or portfolios.

ClosedFrom the Programs work area

The Company Roles register in the Portfolio submenu of the Portfolios work area contains a company role for every company that has been added to the current portfolio.

These company roles only apply to the current portfolio and have no effect on any of the portfolio's workspaces.

ClosedFrom the Projects work area

The Company Roles register in the Workspaces work area contains a company role for every company that has been added to the current workspace.

The Company Roles register is the only configuration feature available to managed workspaces in the Workspaces work area. These roles do not apply to any other workspaces, including other managed workspaces in the same portfolio.

Each of the columns displayed in this register shows information taken from any of the company role pages. The columns displayed depend on the current view.

You can select a company to view its permissions.

Note:

  • If you selected the Copy Workspace Data check box when creating a new workspace, the workspace is preloaded with roles from the Reference. If not, this register is empty by default. For more information, see "Creating a New Workspace".
  • If you selected the Copy Portfolio Data check box when creating a new portfolio, the portfolio is preloaded with roles from the Portfolio Reference. If not, this register is empty by default. For more information, see "Creating a New Portfolio".
