The Resource's Main page contains the basic information for your resource.
The following fields summarize the content of the resource. The Resource document needs to be in edit mode before you can modify the fields. Resource attributes are grouped under the following sections:
Indicates the current state
of the resource.
A string of characters that uniquely identifies the resource within
the workspace. You can edit the number in the Details
section.
Displays the number of the resource. You can change the number in the
Details section.
The Project section displays a simplified version of the information available on the Projects tab. Use this section to quickly view a list of projects currently linked to the document, and to create, read and delete project links in edit mode. Information displayed in the project section is also available on the Projects tab, and any changes you make in the Project section is synchronized with the Projects tab.

Using the Project section, you can set the current document's project linking status to:
Select to remove all project links for the current document. You can only remove project links if you have the appropriate role security permissions, and your contact document has a link to the same projects.
Select to display a box where you can enter a single project link for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to display a box where you can enter multiple project links for the current document. Click the Magnifying Glass icon
Select to link the current document to all projects within the current workspace.
The current status of project linking is displayed in the section header so that you can quickly scan project status with all the sections on the Main page collapsed. The document must be in edit mode before you can update information in the Project section.
Select the contact that you want to associate with the Resource document.
When a contact is not associated with the resource, the resource is considered
a generic resource. You may not want to associate a contact with a resource
if the resource is a material resource.
Type the maximum number of units that the resource can be assigned to
tasks. This value appears when creating tasks, but is editable. This has
a default value of 100.
Enter the external cost pay rate. This external rate is the rate per
hour that your company might charge another company for the resource.
The External Rate field is required.
This field is used in calculating the external cost displayed in the Gantt.
Select Day or Hour to indicate that the External Rate is by day or by
hour. The External Rate Type
field is required. This field is used in calculating the external cost
displayed in the Gantt.
Enter the internal cost pay rate. This internal rate is the rate that
your company pays per hour for the resource. The Internal
Rate field is required. This field is used in calculating the internal
cost displayed in the Gantt.
Select Day or Hour to indicate that the Internal Rate is by day or by
hour. The Internal Rate Type
field is required. This field is used in calculating the internal cost
displayed in the Gantt.
Type a string of characters that uniquely identifies this resource,
or leave it blank if Proliance is configured to supply one. You can configure
the format of this number by using Proliance
Local Admin. For details, refer to "Editing the Number Format"
in the Proliance Local Admin on-line help.
Type the title of the resource. The Title
field is required.
Select the unit of measure for the resource.
