Deleting a Hold

You can delete a hold if the hold is no longer required. To delete a hold, your security role must have permission to delete holds. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

You can delete a location from either of the following places:

ClosedTo delete a hold

  1. Open the Holds register.

  2. Select the check box next to the holds you wish to delete and click Delete.

    3. — or —

    Select the Hold you wish to delete and click Delete The delete button..

    Proliance prompts you to confirm.

  3. Click Yes to confirm.

Proliance deletes the hold and releases all documents being blocked by the hold.

Tip:

  • Instead of deleting a hold, you may wish to simply deactivate it. This changes the workflow state of the hold back to Draft. This allows you to reactivate or delete it later. For more information, see "Hold Workflow Actions".
