About Payment Logs

A payment log helps you to track the actual payments that your company has made against invoices using an external payroll system. Typically, a payment log represents a batch of payments that were made during the same cost period.

• Open the Payment Logs register for the appropriate type of payment log (Expense or Revenue).

All payment logs are listed in the Payment Log register. You can also view a payment from the applicable invoice's Payments page.

Information in a Payment Log document is organized over the following pages:

• Main: Contains detailed information about the payment log, including dates, participants, and payment status. For more information, see "Payment Log – Main".
• Payments: The list of payments contained in the payment log. For more information, see "Payments".
• Properties: Contains information about the Payment Log document itself, such as who created the document, and the workspace in which the document was created. For more information, see "Document Properties".

• Project: Lists the projects the document is linked to. For more information, see "About the Projects Tab"

• Workflow: Enables you to see where the document is in its lifecycle, who has already performed actions on the document, and who will receive notification when the document changes to a specific state. For more information, see "Workflow Tab".
• Activity Log: Displays all the activities of the document in the order in which they occurred. For more information, see "Activity Log Tab".
• Attachments: Contains a list of all the documents related to this payment log. For more information, see "Attachments Tab".
