Changing Your Password

If your security role has permission to update accounts, you can change your password quickly and easily using the My Preferences dialog box. The preference setting can be accessed from anywhere in Proliance.

Note:

  • When Custom Authentication is enabled, the Password fields are not available in the My Preferences dialog, and you cannot change your password.

Click the My Preferences icon User settings icon. found at the top of every Proliance page to access the My Preferences dialog box.

For more information on security permissions in Proliance, see "About Security Permissions".

To change a password

  1. Click the My Preferences icon.
  2. Click the Password tab.
  3. Enter your current password in the Old Password field, then enter your new password in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Your new password must conform to the Password Policy for your Organization.
  4. Click OK.

Proliance will save your new password and My Preferences dialog box disappears. Your password is now changed and you can use your new password when logging into Proliance.

Note:

  • If you have appropriate permissions, you can change the password for accounts other than your own. For more information, see "Reset a User Password".
