Deleting a Location

You can delete a location from a company in either the Organization or Workspaces work area if the location is no longer used by the company or is no longer relevant to a workspace. To delete a location, your security role in the appropriate work area must have permission to delete locations. For more information, see "About Security Permissions".

Note: The Locations document is only available for companies in the Organization and Workspaces work area.

The guidelines for deleting companies differ for each work area:

ClosedFrom the Organizationwork area

Deleting a location from the Organization work area removes it permanently from Proliance.

Proliance will not allow you to delete a location from the Organization work area if it currently exists in any workspaces. If you attempt to delete a location in this situation, Proliance will notify you with a list of workspaces in which the location currently exists. Before you can delete the location in the Organization work area, it must be deleted from each of these workspaces.

ClosedFrom the Workspaces work area

You may wish to delete locations from the Workspaces work area if the location was added in error or if you want to delete the location permanently from the Organization work area.

Deleting a location from a workspace does not affect the corresponding location document in the Organization work area or other workspaces.

You can delete a location from either of the following places:
