About the Locations Tab

The Locations tab displays a list of locations from which a company conducts business.

You can open this tab from any type of company document, but keep in mind that the locations displayed may differ depending on the work area:

ClosedFrom the Organization work area

When opened from a Company, Org Company, or Business Unit document in the Organization work area, the Locations tab displays every location defined for that particular company. These locations may or may not be currently used in any of your workspaces.

Changes made to a location in this tab are automatically synchronized in any workspaces to which that location has been added.

ClosedFrom the Workspaces work area

When opened from a Company document in the Workspaces work area, the Locations tab displays each of that company's locations that are currently being used in the workspace. Any of the company's locations that have not been added to the workspace are not shown.

The following table lists the specialized commands available on the Locations tab. For more information about the standard commands available on the Locations tab, see "Proliance Registers". Available commands are determined by the permissions in your security role. 

Specialized commands on the Locations tab Command

Set the selected location to be the primary location for the company, removing the primary status from any other location in the company.

This can only be done from the Organization work area.

Set as Primary

Add selected locations to a workspace.

This option is available in the Organization work area and is located under Tools.

Tools > Add Selected to Workspace...

Add all locations to a workspace.

This option is available in the Organization work area and is located under Tools.

Tools > Add All to Workspace
